| In July 2003 I searched
the online website of the Mormons (ICI) for Christian Outerson - even though
we know her dates, I wanted to see if she showed up in ICI in case her
parents were listed
- tried many combinations but nothing showed up - so even though my father has literally stood over he grave looking at her tombstone, according to the Mormons, she does not exist !!!! |

- I think he may have found some Outersons related to Christian - but they spell it Outterson "4 Nov 1796 Cristian Outterson born to WILLIAM (?) OUTTERSON and Margret OUTTERSON in Ladykirk, Berwickshire" My personal opinion is that
this Cristian Outterson b. 1796 in Ladykirk is the same Christian Outerson
b. 1797 we are looking for - the dates are too close to ignore and the
parish of Ladykirk had only a population of a few hundred people in 1790's
as I said in a July 1st 2003 email to Dale Utterson, re: 4 Nov 1796 Cristian Outterson born to WILLIAM (?) OUTTERSON and Margret OUTTERSON in Ladykirk, Berwickshire I think that this is the Christian Outerson b. 1797 d. 1870 Dec 15 we have as married to our William Richardson - several reasons 1. the parish Ladykirk - it had a small population - very small, just a few hundred - so any coincidental names matching might be reason to deduce that it is an actual match 2. Outerson/Outterson is an uncommon name, its not like Smith, Jones, Johnson etc. 3. the date Nov 1796 vs. 1797 sometimes when people were born they weren't baptised til several months later so a birth date in November 1796 could be the same person baptised in 1797 4. our Christina Outerson had 3 sons and 1 daughter, the daughter was Margaret Richardson b. 1833 d. 1843 Jan 26th - the coincidence of the name Margaret is tantilizing 5. I have a gut feeling - the Margaret thing and the Nov 1796/1797 dates are too close to ignore |
